He was predeceased by: his parents, Steve Nykolaishen and Helen Nykolaishen; his siblings, Bill and Marjorie; his granddaughter Madison; his parents-in-law, Paul and Mary Wosminity; his brothers-in-law, Leonard Theisen, Wilfred Bunz and Adam Wosminity; his nephew Murray Bunz; and his great-nephew Josh Bunz.

He is survived by: his sibling Marjori; his children, Ron (Theresa), Sandra, Allan (Shelly) and Daryl; his wife Adeline; his grandchildren, Nolan (Stef), Chad (Shayla) and Chris (Jozi); his great grandchildren, Mason, Hayley, Jacob, Brynn, Avery, Ella, Brooks and Sutton; his granddaughter Jamie; his grandson-in-law Chris; his great grandchildren, Mary and Katey; his grandchildren, Justine and Travis; his great grandchildren, Kaesen, Deakin and Kiptyn; his daughter-in-law Rosie; his grandchildren, Tass (Desiree), Michael (Mandi), Paige and Cross; his great grandchild Mila; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Nykolaishen, Betty Bunz and Joan Wosminity.
