He was predeceased by: his wife Lillian Hack; his parents, John and Auguste; his stepchildren, Russell Hack and Joyce Handke; his stepson-in-law Irvin Handke; and his grandson Brian Handke.
He is survived by: his sister Vera Palmer; his nephew Frank; his niece Shaelene; his grandchildren, Laurie, Darcy Rist, Melvin Handke, Donna, Murray Whitelaw, Garth and Karen Handke; his great grandchildren, Lianne, Leyton Plett, Tanice, Trevor Fraser, Jennifer, Don Strickland, Jason, Cassandra Whitelaw, Amanda, Derek Baumgartner, Greg, Ivana Whitelaw, Ryan Handke and Samantha Handke; his great great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Dallas Wishloff, Jonathan Gooding, Austin, Brooke Strickland, Sage, Jade Fraser, Zachary Whitelaw, Jessica, Carson, Bailey Baumgartner, Liam and Felix Whitelaw; and his grandchildren, Sophia and Beau Wishloff. He is also survived by his grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and great-great-great grandchildren.
