He was predeceased by: his parents, Olga Thoring and Henry Thoring; his wife Edna; his siblings, Mervin (Buddy), Walter, Willard, Vernon, Gladys Skoglund, Fern Heggestad and Frances Anderson; his brother-in-law Edgar Holmgren; and his son-in-law Ernie Coakley.
He is survived by: his children, Clare Thoring (Cathy) and Loreen Coakley; his great grandchildren, Clay Thoring (Julie), Etta and Gracie; his grandchildren, Cadence Gfeller (Kurt), Timo, Bentley, Oaklynn, Cody Thoring (Julie), Charlotte, Lillian, Ruby, Malory Meyers (Jason), Teaghan, Maddie, Hailey Reinbrecht (Jeff), Crew, Sawyer and Colter; and his sister Marion Braaten of High River. He is also survived by cousins and numerous nieces and nephews.
