She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Taypotat and Marjorie Taypotat; her brother George H. Delorme; her mother-in-law Gladys George; and her siblings-in-law, Clifton George, Darryl George, Kimberlain George, Ernest C George, Kenny Douglas George, Patricia George and Athenia George.
She is survived by: her children, Melvin Taypotat (Patty), Ernest F George, Albert George and Danielle Henderson (Charles); her adoptive son Chief Evan Taypotat (Megaen); her daughter-in-law Monica Prettyshield; her grandchildren, Kayto Starr (Melissa), Kaydynce Taypotat, Jaden, Kaitlynn Portias, Jerrica Lafond-Prettyshield (Brett), Shaelynne (Shawn), Ernest Jr., Duncan George (Emma), Mishauna, Tavien Prettyshield, Oren George, Connor, Jameson Belanger, Bruce, Marcus Henderson, Kamilia Henderson, Beatrice Taypotat, Everett (Naomi), Tara and Ethan (Lenasia); her great grandchildren, Easton, Tessa, Natalie Starr, Tate, Bryson Lafond, Eva, Sakari and Gracie; her siblings, Joyce Taypotat, Blair Taypotat, Alfred Jr. Taypotat (Jean), Floyd Taypotat, Sheldon Taypotat, Denise Taypotat (Randy), Dennis Taypotat, Colleen Still (John), Iris Taypotat-Scribe (Brian) and Sandra Taypotat; her sisters-in-law, Belinda George, Twila George, Karen George, Annie Taypotat and Eunice Delorme; her aunts, Rosaline Lerat and Vesta Issac; her close friends, Lois Matthews, Christine Mckay, Julia Isaac and Evelyn Henry; her grandchildren, Melvin, Summer Games and Winter Games; her pet Bubba; her husband Denton; her cousin Vice-Chief Dutch Lerat; and also Kayto. She is also survived by her husband, sons, and grandchildren.
A wake was held on Monday, September 30th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Chief Denton George Memorial.
