He was predeceased by: his wife Beatrice; his children, Jeff and Heidi; his parents, Fred Lukye and Marie Lukye; his brother Allan Lukye; his parents-in-law, Carl and Mary Karstad; and his siblings-in-law, Bertram Karstad and Bernice Ogryzlo (Paul).

He is survived by: his children, Jeremy (Wendy Alexander), Wally and Nettie Lukye; his children-in-law, Keri Lukye and Jason Vicary; his siblings, Edward Lukye (Connie), Stanley Lukye (Ann Louise), Raymond Lukye (Kathy McKelkie), Caroline Saxon (Robert), Katherine Mack (Allan) and Victoria Lukye; and his siblings-in-law, Bernard Karstad (Shirley) and Lorraine Lukye. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren and three great grandsons.
