He is survived by: his wife Colleen Hietanen; his children, Darren Warpula (Manon), Shanon Hietanen (Denise), Cassandra Hietanen and Edwin Hietanen (Pamela); his grandchildren, Deven Warpula, Austin Warpula, Joshua Hietanen, Jillian Hietanen, Ethan Hietanen, Zackery Hietanen, Jack Hietanen and Jason Hietanen; his great grandchild Lukas Robert Grant Hietanen; and his sisters, Anne McDowell (Kevin) and Arlene Whatley (Dan). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, and cousins.
