He was predeceased by: his parents, Julien Bourgeois and Loretta Bourgeois; his siblings, Alice Garvelle (Omar) and Cyril Bourgeois (Therese); his brother-in-law Venard Asselin; his niece Lucille Asselin; and his nephew Michael Asselin.

He is survived by: his wife Irene; his daughter Brenda Simon (Mervyn); his grandsons, John and James (Erin); his daughter Joan Bourgeois-King (Alpha); his grandchildren, David (Tanya), Kristen (Rochelle) and Samara; his daughter Debra Murray (Paul); his grandchildren, Danielle (Nathan) and Nichole (Phil); his son Kelly (Rose); his grandchildren, Jan Michael and Jacob; and his sister Simone Asselin. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many relatives and friends.
