He was predeceased by: his parents, Mathias Stephany and Anne Stephany; and his sisters, Alice Getz and Gertrude Peterson. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Christine and Gene (Tamara); and his granddaughters, Gabrielle, Renée and Rachelle.
