She was predeceased by: her husband Gary Friess; and her parents, Harold Hilker and Molly Hilker. She is survived by: her son Stacy Hilker; her grandchildren, Christopher Hilker (Rickee Lee) and Shannon Boiteau (Tyler); her great grandchild Arlie Boiteau; her sister Penelope Schrieber; her friend Sharol Riersgard; her stepchildren, Corinne Tessier (Brad), Theresa Friess and Danny Riersgard (Linda); and her stepgrandchildren, Branson Friess-Schafer, Edgar Wilkinson, Mike Wilkinson (Lynette), Nathan Riersgard (Sheena), Daniel Riersgard (Sasha), Jenny Riersgard (Bubba) and Janice Gagne.

Memorial donations can be made to St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation (designate to Unit A), 1176 Nicholson Road, Estevan, SK S4A 0H3.
