He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Nagel and Esther Nagel; his parents-in-law, David and Cecelia Kilthau; and his siblings-in-law, Audrey Kilthau and Keith Kilthau.

He is survived by: his wife Bev Nagel; his children, Becky Kuntz (Kevin) and Trevor Nagel (Lisa); and his grandchildren, Logan, Ariadne Nagel, Brynn, Preston and Brooks Kuntz.
