He was predeceased by: his great-grandparents, Charlie Akachuk and Suzie Nahbexie; his grandparents, Archie and Alice Akachuk; his parents, Raymond Whitehat and Rosaline Akachuch; and his siblings, Roger Akachuk, Jimmy Akachuk, Germaine Akachuk and Laurine Akachuk.
A wake was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Wolf's Den Community Center. A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
