He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Buchanan and Elise Buchanan; his brother Hugh John; and his brother-in-law Lloyd Stone. He is survived by: his daughter Melissa Minnick (Ghislain Piette); his granddaughters, Madison Raymond and Natalie Shier; his siblings, Barbara (John Leclerc), Jocelyn Stone, Emmeline Hunt (Richard), Jean Chard (Phil), Brian (Linda), George (Elaine) and Glen (Eva); and also Betty.
