He was predeceased by: his parents, Folkert Terpstra and Emma Terpstra; his wife Margaret Terpstra; and his sister Wilma Hardcastle (Ernest). He is survived by: his son Wayne Terpstra; his grandson Thomas Terpstra (Jenn King); his nephews, Keith Hardcastle (Ruth), Murray Hardcastle (Shelley) and Dale Hardcastle; and his siblings-in-law, Doris Forsyth, Subina Forsyth and Bill Forsyth.

Donations in memory of Thomas may be made to Lady Minto Residents Trust Fund or Royal Canadian Legion 03-106 Edam.
