He was predeceased by: his wife Maisie Poole; his son Arnold Poole; and his grandson Brian "Buzz" Dunlop. He is survived by: his sons, Garry Poole (Elaine) and Leslie Poole (Cheryl); his daughter-in-law Peggy Dunlop; his grandchildren, Steven "Skip" Dunlop (Jamie), Karrie Nordell (Darren), Treverr Poole, Darcy Poole (Jodie), Rodney Poole (Crystal) and Stacy Gassor (Jay); his great grandchildren, Jordan Dunlop (Sara), Ackerley Dunlop (Chelsea), Ashton Dunlop (Katie), McKenzie Mohns (Ethan), Keinyn Nordell (Landon), Kalie Nordell (Reid), Tayla Poole (Kirk), Trayton Poole (Presli), Nevin, Nate, Addison Poole, Abbygale Poole, Jalin and Molly Gassor; and his great great grandchildren, Everett, Anson, Lainee Dunlop, Isla Dunlop, Sage, Nora, Grayson Dunlop and Lennon Mohns. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
