He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Peter Koopman and Rose Marie Bilodeau (Isabelle); his son Cory (Anji); and his siblings, John (Sharon), David (Debbie) and Cecile Stoughton (Bryan). He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
