He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Wheatley and Dora Wheatley of Dodsland, Saskatchewan.; and his sisters, Agnes Piercy (Elmer), Esther Pummel (Arthur), Elizabeth "Jo" Clarke (Albert), Dora Ostertag (Wendlin), Gwen Calder (Bill) and Violet Gibney (Tom).

He is survived by: his sons, Richard, Raymond and Robert (Linda); his wife Lois "Fay"; and his cousin Bill Wheatley (Sharon). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
