She was predeceased by: her husband Mike Chernick; her parents, Steve Lucas and Kathleen Lucas; her son-in-law Lloyd Ward; her granddaughter-in-law Kathy Nakonechny; and her siblings, Vandal Lucas, Steve Lucas, Frank Lucas and Helen Mitrusky.
She is survived by: her sister Matilda Vass; her daughters, Jean Ward, Annette Nakonechny (Mervyn) and Rita Bereti (Anthony); and her grandchildren, Darryl Ward, Lorianne Ward (Perry), Darren, Jayson (Lynne), Curtis Nakonechny (Corilynn), Lisa Bereti and Royce Bereti (Irene). She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; as well as cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
