He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank and Anne; his stepsister Mary Dubel; his brother Steve (Mary); his parents-in-law, Sam Pozium and Nellie Pozium (Tomashewski); and his siblings-in-law, Ann Woznow (Mike), Helen Boyda (Alex), Florence Stankewich (Mike), Alice Lapshinoff (Mike), Alex Pozium, Victor Pozium, William Pawluik and Charlie Reti.
He is survived by: his wife Violet; his children, Tony Stankewich, Gail Gorchynski (John) and Karen Ochitwa (Merv); his siblings, Jean Dutchak (Marvin), Nellie Pawluik (William) and Paul Stankewich; his sisters-in-law, Marie Reti and Rosie Pozium; and also, Jean, Bridget Derbyshire (Brian), Clinton Stankewich (Krista), Alyssa, Crystal Semchyshen (Peter), Desiree, Tierra, Destiny, Peter, Carrie Schlechter (Rian), Kristie, Graedyn, Amanda Sutton (Neil), Eliott, Logan, Karli and Tyler Ochitwa. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews extended family and friends.
