Pastor Wilfred Michaels Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 9, 2020, at the age of 81, Pastor Wilfred Michaels of Canora, Saskatchewan, born in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Michaels and Martha Michaels (Surette); his daughter Barbara Clark; and his grandsons, Jeremy and Coury.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Michaels (Muise) of Canora, SK; his children, Wilfred Jr. "Sam" (Andrea), Shawn Travis (Beata), Karen Bogdon (Wayne) and Cindy Boerma (Pieter); and his son-in-law Charles Clark. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Due to the global pandemic and social restrictions in place, a private family graveside service was held on June 13, 2020, at the Sturgis and District Cemetery, Sturgis, SK, with Pastor Roy Jamieson officiating.
Those wishing to make expressions of sympathy may make donations to the Souls Harbour Mission (1632 Angus Street, Regina, SK, S4T 1Z2) or to Filling the Gap Food Bank, (PO Box 957, Canora, SK, S0A 0L0) as tokens of remembrance, in memory of Pastor Wilfred Michaels.
