He was predeceased by: his parents, Wasyl Heshka (Bill) and Katherine Heshka (Kate); his siblings, Harry and Olga; and his half-siblings, Steve and Rose.

He is survived by: his children, Leslie (Laurie), Cindy (Jason) and Corey (Roseanne); his wife Violet Heshka; his sons, Stanley (Carrie) and Nelson; his grandchildren, Christopher, Emily, Tianda, Brendan, Ethan, Makayla and Kasen; his great grandchildren, Wellington and Pierson; and his siblings, Ernie, Wesley, David (Phyllis) and Anne. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.
