Josephine (Josie) Matsalla Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Josephine (Josie) Matsalla (Canora, Saskatchewan), born in Hamilton, Ontario, who passed away on February 24, 2020 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Zarazun and Pauline Zarazun (Biletsky); her husband Joe Matsalla; her siblings, Ed, John, Carl, Steven, Ernie, Vicky and Agnes; and her son-in-law Marcile Hadubiak.
She is survived by: her children, Eleanor Hadubiak, Bernice Gulka (Jim), Jim Matsalla (Linda), Theresa Mudry (Harold) and Brent Matsalla (Sandy); her siblings, Mary, Stan (Joyce) and Adam (Bev); and her sisters-in-law, Shirley, Ann and Emily. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Those wishing to make expressions of sympathy may make donations to the Canora Hospital Auxiliary – Palliative Care Unit, as tokens of remembrance, in memory of Josie Matsalla.
