He was predeceased by: his wife Doreen Bilawchuk; his parents, John Duchnitski and Rayme Duchnitski; his siblings, Mike and Elaine Eskovich; his parents-in-law, Hazel and Nick Bilawchuk; and his brother-in-law Jerry Bilawchuk.
He is survived by: his children, Tyla Petrie (Michael), Mindy Potoroka (Wayne) and Tristan Duchnitski (Michelle); his grandchildren, Hazel, Clement, Rayme and Molly; and his sister Virginia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins, in-laws and two elderly aunts.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ed should be forwarded to the Kelvington Rec Arena Box 608 Kelvington, SK S0A 1W0, a place where Ed spent endless hours enjoying hockey.
