Joanne Francis Cowan Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joanne Francis Cowan (Biggar, Saskatchewan), who passed away on March 7, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Francis Hendrick; her husband Alex Cowan; her son Gordon; her siblings, Rose Buchanan, Paul Hendrick, Leo Hendrick, Kay Leschinski and Gabe Hendrick; and her son-in-law Brian Lauinger.
She is survived by: her siblings, August and Katharine; her children, Gordy, Valerie Jacobson (Cliff), Jerry Cowan (Colleen), Sandra Lauinger and Darren Cowan (Arnaldo); her siblings, Madeline Hendrick and John Hendrick (Gerry); and her sister-in-law Mary Anne Hendrick. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and multiple nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the New Horizons (117 3 Ave W, Biggar, SK S0K0M0).
