He was predeceased by: his parents, August Hein and Emma Hein; his siblings, Irene Wolf (Jack), Martha Wolf (Alfred), Marion Chypiska (Phillip), Erna Schaffer (Walter), Dolores Groff, Herb, Dennis and Alvin Hein; and his in-laws, Ernie Millar, Loretta Morton (Stuart), Devone Sandvold (Ramona), Corny Smith and Alvin Sandvold.
He is survived by: his wife Opal Sandvold; his children, Shauna Gemmell (Ron) and Jason (Tammi); his grandchildren, Jasmine (Greg), Dawson and Carter (Jarhico); his siblings-in-law, Glen Groff, Alice Hein, Judy Hein and Virginia Hein; and his in-laws, Vivian Millar, Marjorie Sandvold, Karen Smith and Roald Draycott (Mary). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
