He was predeceased by: his son Devin Lavertu; his wife Marie Lavertu; his parents, Oliva Lavertu and Albertine Lavertu; his siblings, Marina Sarabin, Lillian Levesque and Raymond Lavertu; his siblings-in-law, Jerry Sarabin, Roger Levesque, Bill Mahood and Judy Lavertu; his parents-in-law, Monique and Edouard Bouclin; and his siblings-in-law, Simone Wareham and Theophile Bouclin.

He is survived by: his son Danny (Roxane); his granddaughters, Jasmine Lavertu and Julia Paxman (Zachary); his son Denis Lavertu (Misty); his grandchildren, Presley and Braxon; his siblings, Claire Mahood, George Lavertu, Gilbert Lavertu (Denise) and Lawrence Lavertu (Rose); and his sister-in-law Lillian Bouclin.
