He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Ratt and Madeline Starr; his adoptive parents, Maggie Starr and Joe Starr; his siblings, Caroline Stonechild, Stella Steininer, Grace Adam, Elizabeth Pinay, Virginia Pelletier, Joan Pelletier, Leonard Ratt, Steven Ratt, Gilbert Ratt, George Starr and Christopher Starr; and his grandson Dante Bitternose.
He is survived by: his sister-in-law Donna Starr; his niece Geraldine Stonechild; and his nephew Clifford Oakes. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who he took as his children, numerous Grandchildren and Great grandchildren.
