He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Vesey and Amy Vesey; and his parents-in-law, Jacob and Mary Schappert. He is survived by: his wife Eleanor; his son Brad; his granddaughters, Tara Vesey and Megan Richmond (Devin); his great grandchildren, Cash, Henrik, Knox and Vanessa; his daughter Linda Smuk (Mike); and his grandsons, Jeff and Alan Smuk.

Parkinson's would become his ultimate challenge.
