She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Mike Piluk and Lillian Piluk; her husband Vern Whitson; the mother of her child Kathleen; her son Vern; her grandsons, Jeffrey, Jamie and Karter Lafontaine; and her siblings, Evelyn Diederichs, Millie Brownell (Jim), Beverley MacDonald (Keith) and Liza Perkins (Tim).
