He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustave Schindel and Lillian Schindel; his brother Gussie Schindel; and his brother-in-law Herb Cherwoniak. He is survived by: his siblings, Percy Schindel (Audrey) and Marlene Cherwoniak; and his nieces and nephews, Crystal (Troy Koepke), Karrie Schindel, Herb and Gordon Cherwoniak (Patty).
