He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Lieberman and Louis Lieberman; his sister Frances Marwil; his niece Jennifer Marwil; and his sister-in-law Margie Bleyer Lieberman.

He is survived by: his wife Lynda; his children, Laura (John Murtagh) of LaSalle and Mark of Vancouver; his grandchildren, Elijah and Asher Murtagh; his brother David (Anita); his brother-in-law Bill; and his brother Irwin (Risa).
