He was predeceased by: his parents, George Walter Boomhower and Hilda Beane; and his siblings, Doris (Ian), Roy, Terry (Janet), Frank (late Beryl) and Violet (late Ted).
He is survived by: his son James Goodwin (Nancy); and his siblings, Ralph (Claire), Marion (Larry), Alice (Casey), Dorothy and Harry. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
