He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Smith and Lillian McDonald; his wife Paulette Smith; his siblings, Della, Dawn (Terry Dolan) and Brent (Lucienne LaSalle); and his brother-in-law Roger.

He is survived by: his sons, Randy (Karen) and Mitchell (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Austin (Julie), Korbin, Cody (Carley) and Kiersten; and his siblings-in-law, Diane, Earl Ricard, Linda, David Schinkel, Leonard, Eric and Beverley. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends.

A Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. James the Greater Church (23 Rue Nelson, Portage-du-Fort, QC J0X2Y0).
