He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas and Jean (Jeannie); and his siblings, Oliver (Helen), Keith, Gerald (Claire), Kenneth (Elsie), Earl, Llyal (Lynette) and Winona Poole (Allan).

He is survived by: his wife Lana Lackey; his daughters, Suzanne Porter (Allen) and Connie Bean; his grandsons, Zachary Porter and Kade Stewart; his brothers, Elburn (Freda) and Daryl (Marie); and his sister-in-law Mildred. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers a donation to the Heart Institute or the Ottawa Sooner Jr. Football Team would be appreciated.
