He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Mitchem and Viola Furlotte; and his former wife Grace. He is survived by: his spouse Dixie; his children, Valerie, Danny, Suzanne Kirkman (Trevor) and Leanne Mitchem (Nadi); his stepchildren, Angie Atkinson (Skyler) and Rick Atkinson (Tina); his grandchildren, Michael Kirkman, Michael Farnsworth, Adam, Georgia Howard, Barbara Grace Napper, Sami Bandari Nejad, Ryan (Tai), Connor, Lauryn McCauley, Bryce (Erin), Evan Atkinson and William Moriarty; and his siblings, Gerri (Vic Giguere) and Helen Mitchem (Les Thedroff). He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
As an expression of sympathy, a donation to the Shawville Recreation Association or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
