He is survived by: his wife Helen Acres Murdock; his daughters, Peter (Chantal), Tammy, Larry, Darwin and Judy (Richard); his grandchildren, Kaylie (Greg), Jordan, Sheri (Matt), Deanna and Allen; his great grandchildren, Gracie, Walker and Fisher; his siblings, Don (Louise), Tom (Leona), Linda (Alec), Deanne, Bernie and Marc (Maureen); and also Don. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society on behalf of George's brother Don who is currently battling the disease.
