She was predeceased by: her brother Lyall Towsley. She is survived by: her husband James Douglas Graeme Howie; her sons, Bruce and Keith; her grandchildren, Emma, Jamie and Charlotte; her sister Helen Alford; and her nieces and nephews, Cindy Hassell, Robert, Chris and Phillip Towsley.
