He was predeceased by: his wife Arlene Johnston; his parents, Joseph Hayes and Ellen Hayes; and his siblings, Gerald, Allen, Lawrence, Joseph, Helen Coyle (Jack) and Shirley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
