He was predeceased by: his parents, Obelard Gelinas and Rezina Gelinas; his siblings, Francois Gélinas, Pauline Gélinas and Helene Umansky; and his former wife Carol Crabtree.
He is survived by: his brother Jean-Claude Gélinas; and his children, Mario Gélinas, Manon Gélinas (Husband Dale), Claudine Gélinas, Michele Watson (Mike), Stephanie Ottinger (Brad) and Pauline Finlay (Barney). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and 6 great grand children; his brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
