He was predeceased by: his parents, Delia and Arthur; his significant other Sandy (Sandy); and his sister Ginette. He is survived by: his sister Pauline; his sons, David (Laura), Jean (Kadeja) and Daniel (Stephanie); and his grandchildren, Tristan, Neve, Alexia and Kieran.
The family asks that instead of flowers, donations be made to The Michael J Fox Foundation or Parkinson's Canada in Richard's memory.
