He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Sonnichsen and Lauretta Flett; and his brothers, André and Holger "Hardy" (Victoria Rose). He is survived by: his close friend Suzanne Bisson Harvey; his stepson Antony Element; and his siblings, Ann (late Robert Ringer), James and Philip (Irene Patterson).
