She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse Louis Martel; and her children, Andrée (Ange-Émile), Louise, Bertrand (Lucie), Christyane, Jean (Joanne) and Mario (Johanne). She was also cherished by her ten grandchildren, her six great grandchildren, as well as many friends and relatives.
