It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Vernon Lander (Saint-Boniface, Québec), born in Port Hope, Ontario, who passed away on January 11, 2021, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Denise; his children, Carole (Jarrod), Robert and Michael; his stepdaughter Renee; his foster children, Angelena (Dave), Wendy (Kevin), Greg, Loretta (Corey), Samantha (Chad), Valerie, Ashley, Erin, Tara, Terry, Natisha, Sunshine, Sunflower, Sweetgrass, MorningStar, Desiree, Jasmine, Dominique, Jhett, Josephine and Agnes; his mother Shirley; his siblings, Karen, Kathy, John and Michael; and his cousins, Lorraine, Ethel and Verna. He is also survived by many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, 39 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Due to Covid restrictions, a Celebration of Life is being planned at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society in Vern's honour.
