He was predeceased by: his parent Joseph Walsh; his wife Mary-Jane; and his daughter Theresa. He is survived by: his parent May Walsh (O'Connell); his grandfather Anthony; his children, Michael Walsh of Percé, QC, Daniel Walsh (Alice) of Montreal, QC and Catherine Walker (Paul) of Greater Lakeburn, NB; and his grandsons, Alexander Walker and Benjamin Walker.
