He was predeceased by: his daughter Alexandra. He is survived by: his wife Gwendolyn Andrews; his children, Christina (Natalie Dumoulin), Melina (Derek Robinson) and Christopher (Sarah Lamarche); and his brother John Nakos. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Tom was in declining health for several years, and the unfortunate effects of COVID-19 served to accelerate his decline.
His support of the Phrixos B. Papachristidis Chair in Modern Greek Studies at McGill University was a great source of satisfaction to him and his support of the Cedars Cancer Foundation at the MUHC over the past many years was one of great pride.
