He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl and Lila; and his sister Annie. He is survived by: his wife Cathy Garrett; his children, Linda (Trent), Andy (Holly) and Steven; his grandchildren, Florie, Emma, Amy, Lily, Parker, Jolene and Adele; and his siblings, Gloria, Dorothy, Betty, Bonnie, Greta, Edward and Michael. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and many other family members and friends.
