He is survived by: his son Jonathan Joseph Frank Hoare; his grandson River Lane Dewar; his brother Bernard; his niece Margaret MacBeth (Adam); his nephew Alex; his great-niece Mia MacBeth; and his cousins, David Morrison, Marion, George Charlton and Kay Heighton.
