With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Fern Assels (New Carlisle, Québec), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Assels and Arlene Hall; her son Keith; and her husbands, Kermit Buttle and Peter Carter.

She is survived by: her daughter Sascha (Doug); her grandchildren, Ashley (Mark), Christopher, Kristie-Lee (Madison) and Kara-Lynn (Kyle); and her brother Billy (Jocelyne). She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, many other family members and friends.
