He was predeceased by: his sister Cara Gilsig. He is survived by: his father Rubin Gilsig; his aunts and uncles, Toby (Clare Gilsig), David, Robert and Sheila (Stephen Senman); his friend Mike; and also, Gary, Janice, Audrey and Allan Gilsig.
