He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Elaine Elkin; his children, Michael (Shoshana) and Tamara; his grandchildren, Emma and Jacob; his brother Cyril (Norma); his brother-in-law Richard Elkin (Esther); his brother Charles Eklove (Sheila); and his stepbrother Ronald Reinblatt (Elyse). He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
