She was predeceased by: her mother Myrtle Navers; her brother Constable; and also Wagstaffe. She is survived by: her husband Cyril J. Brown; her children, Anita Marie Brown-Johnson and Lancelot Anthony Brown; her son-in-law Dexter Gregory Johnson; her grandchildren, Arthur Joseph Brown, Anastasia Dextrene Syrillia Johnson, Rebecca Daphne Brown, Edgar Sabinus Brown and Nicholas André G. Johnson; and her siblings, George, Derek, Fitzroy, Linda, Monica and Cynthia. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of floral tributes, charitable donations towards the "Gloria Hylton Brown Scholarship Fund", being created to facilitate access to post- secondary education at University of The West Indies/U.W.I. or University of Technology, Jamaica; McGill University (Montreal); or other accredited tertiary educational institution, with priority for students originating from McNeils Land, Westmoreland (her birthplace) and/or to "Choose Life International" would be appreciated.
